Harris County City Population Overview

Harris County includes cities with widely different population sizes. Houston is by far the largest, with an estimated population of 2,419,191. Pasadena is the second-largest city at 148,007 residents, followed by Baytown with 86,670 residents. These three cities account for the largest municipal populations shown in the county data.

Several mid-sized cities serve communities throughout the eastern, southeastern, northern, and central parts of Harris County. La Porte and Deer Park each have more than 30,000 residents. Bellaire, Tomball, Humble, South Houston, West University Place, and Seabrook each have populations between approximately 14,000 and 18,000.

Smaller Municipalities and Villages

Harris County also contains numerous smaller incorporated communities. Some are compact residential cities or villages surrounded by larger urban areas, while others are located near county boundaries. Waller, Nassau Bay, Hunters Creek Village, Spring Valley Village, and Bunker Hill Village each have fewer than 6,000 residents.

The smallest cities include Southside Place, Woodbranch, Shoreacres, Hilshire Village, and Morgan's Point. Morgan's Point has the lowest estimated population in the table, with 273 residents.
